Daily Toy News — September 8, 2026

A steady news day out of the shop: Hasbro leads with a Zelda roleplay sword and a new G.I. Joe Made to Order drop, while Kaiyodo teases an Attack on Titan giant that's going to be a beast to display.

Attack on Titan Cart Titan

Attack on Titan Cart Titan

Kaiyodo just teased their Revoltech Amazing Yamaguchi take on the Cart Titan, and it's an ambitious pick for the line. This is the four legged, wall crawling Titan from Attack on Titan, and translating that silhouette into a poseable figure means the sculpt has to nail proportions that don't look like anything else in a normal figure lineup. No pricing or release window yet, just the reveal, so treat this one as an early heads up rather than a buy-now alert. If Kaiyodo keeps the trademark Revoltech joint system on something this unusual, it could be one of the more interesting engineering solutions to come out of this line.

Masters of the Universe Origins, Chronicles & Masterverse Wave

Mattel opened pre-orders on a big batch of Masters of the Universe figures spanning three lines at once. Origins picks up Hurricane Hordak, Despara, Tauraton, Beast Man, Expand-Or, Laser Power He-Man, Stonedar, Blast-Attak, Dragstor, Vultak, Gray, and Sting-Or, with several of those landing as deluxe versions carrying extra accessories. Masterverse adds a New Eternia Moss Man, and Chronicles brings King Grayskull plus a life-size Havoc Staff replica for anyone who wants the prop on a shelf without the figure attached. Pricing runs $19.99 to $27.99 depending on the line, with shipping expected in Q4 2026. If you collect across the MOTU spectrum, this is one of the bigger simultaneous drops we've seen this year.

Hasbro is bringing the Dreadnoks' Thunder Machine into the Made to Order queue, with pre-orders opening tomorrow, September 9th, on HasbroPulse. Vehicle drops in this format tend to move fast since Made to Order windows don't stick around, so if you've been holding out for Dreadnoks support gear in scale with your Classified figures, mark the date. We don't have full specs yet, but expect Hasbro to fill those in as the pre-order goes live.

Numskull's TUBBZ line keeps finding new corners of nerd culture to rubber-duck-ify, and this time it's the Galileo Shuttlecraft from Star Trek. The shuttle itself rolls on wheels and comes with an exclusive Mini Sulu duck seated at the helm, with room in the cockpit for a second Mini TUBBZ from the wider collection if you want to crew it up. At 23.5cm long, it's a decent size for a shelf piece, and the paintwork is detailed enough that it reads as a Star Trek prop first and a duck joke second. Officially licensed, PVC and ABS build, and it's up for pre-order now.

McFarlane Toys NFL Construct-a-Figure Series 2

McFarlane Toys NFL Construct-a-Figure Series 2

McFarlane's NFL Construct-a-Figure line is back for Series 2, and it's leaning into the blind bag build format rather than fixed rosters. Each roughly 2 inch figure comes with precision-sculpted parts you snap together yourself, a display base, a football accessory, and a customizable sticker sheet to personalize the jersey. This wave covers 12 players including Christian McCaffrey, Lamar Jackson, and C.J. Stroud, sold in a case of 36 individually bagged figures. It's a fun format for team-building on a budget since you're assembling the figure as part of the unboxing, not just pulling a finished piece from a blister.

Hasbro's collaboration with Nintendo continues with an electronic roleplay Master Sword pulled straight from Tears of the Kingdom. At 27 inches, this is a full-size prop, and it's packed with over 15 sounds including game music, touch-activated equip and un-equip cues, and swing and clash effects triggered by motion. That's a meaningful step up from a static foam replica since the sword is actually reacting to how you're holding and moving it. Runs on AAA batteries, rated for ages 4 and up, and priced around $42.99. Pre-orders open tomorrow, September 9th, at 1:00 PM ET, so this is one to have a tab ready for if you want it before it sells through.

Hasbro revealed official images for the Ninja Force Snake Eyes and Jinx 2-pack, and the accessory count alone makes this one worth flagging. Snake Eyes brings an alternate wolf-masked head, two nunchuks, two claws, a knife, two swords, a scabbard, and three additional weapon accessories. Jinx counters with a bow and arrow, quiver sheath, two swords, two alternate hands, an alternate head, a raven mask, and a removable feather shawl, for 21 accessory pieces between the pair. That's the kind of loadout that rewards displaying them mid-fight rather than standing at attention. This is a Target exclusive, and pre-orders don't open until September 18th at 9am EDT during Target's Fall Geek Out event, so there's nothing to buy yet, just a date to circle.

NECA's 8 inch clothed figures pulling from Michael Keaton's Batman and Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman are back in stock at Amazon. Batman comes dressed in real soft goods rather than a painted-on sculpt, with a poseable wire armature running through the cape so it holds a shape instead of flopping flat, plus interchangeable hands, batarangs, and a grapnel launcher. Catwoman gets a tailored soft goods suit, her whip and taser, interchangeable hands, and an alternate battle-damaged head for anyone who wants her post-brawl with Batman Returns' rooftop chaos. Both ship in window box packaging with a slipcover, so they display well straight out of the box.

The Simpsons Treehouse of Horror Advent Calendar

The Simpsons Treehouse of Horror Advent Calendar

Jakks Pacific's Treehouse of Horror advent calendar is in stock now, and it's built around 31 days of small figures and collectibles pulled from The Simpsons' annual horror specials rather than a generic holiday theme. Each piece is about 2.5 inches, and Jakks hasn't published a breakdown of exactly which characters and moments are included, so the surprise factor is part of the pitch here. For a show with three decades of Treehouse of Horror material to draw from, that's a lot of room for genuinely deep-cut picks alongside the obvious ones.

Hasbro's Age of the Primes Commander Class Onslaught has been in and out of stock since launch, and it just landed back at Entertainment Earth for $109.99. As the core component of the Combaticon combiner Bruticus, Onslaught is the piece a lot of collectors have been waiting on to round out the set, which explains why it keeps selling through. If you're building toward the full combiner, this is the restock to jump on before it disappears again.

Marvel Legends Future Foundation Figure Sets

Marvel Legends Future Foundation Figure Sets

Hasbro's Future Foundation two-packs are back in stock, split across two sets: Mister Fantastic paired with Spider-Man, and The Thing paired with Invisible Woman. Both are priced at $59.99 and available now, with Entertainment Earth also bringing the sets back up for pre-order if Amazon's stock runs out first. The Future Foundation white-and-black suits don't get nearly as much figure support as the classic blues, so having both sets land together is a solid way to round out that corner of a Marvel Legends Fantastic Four shelf.
