Lanterns: Official Teaser Trailer #2
HBO dropped the second teaser for Lanterns, the DC series premiering on August 16th on HBO and Max. Kyle Chandler plays veteran Green Lantern Hal Jordan alongside Aaron Pierre as new recruit John Stewart, with the show framed as a rural American murder mystery rather than a straight superhero story. Damon Lindelof and comic writer Tom King are in the writers room, which bodes well for the storytelling side. This is part of James Gunn and Peter Safran's DCU Chapter One rollout.
