Avengers: Doomsday Lines Up New Trailer as Doctor Doom Footage Teases a Turning Point

Per ComicBookMovie, new Avengers: Doomsday marketing is landing this week as global ticket sales open, and insiders expect a mix of a fresh trailer, a featurette, and possibly the first look at VisionQuest and Star Wars: Starfighter riding along with it. Robert Downey Jr., back as Doctor Doom, has already seen an early cut and called it fantastic, saying the team may finally redeem itself after Secret Wars fatigue worries. The Batman Part II Gets a New Director in Steven Soderbergh as Matt Reeves Steps Back

Deadline reports Matt Reeves has stepped away from the set of The Batman Part II to deal with a family matter, and Steven Soderbergh is stepping in to finish the final weeks of principal photography. Reeves clarified he is not leaving the film, saying he will take over post production once shooting wraps and is grateful to Soderbergh for covering for him during a hard stretch. DC Studios is backing the arrangement fully. The sequel is still tracking for February 18, 2028, so this is a mid shoot handoff rather than a delay. Gotham fans can breathe a little easier knowing Reeves is still steering the vision.

Clayface: Disgusting Lands an R Rating as First Reactions Call It Brutal Body Horror

Clayface: Disgusting Lands an R Rating as First Reactions Call It Brutal Body Horror

James Gunn's DCU just earned its first R rating, and Clayface is why. An extended clip making the rounds shows Matt Hagen's transformation spiraling out of control mid flight, and it is exactly as gruesome as the MPA rating for gore, nudity, and drug use suggests. Tom Rhys Harries stars as the shapeshifting villain under director James Watkins, with Naomi Ackie, David Dencik, Max Minghella, and Eddie Marsan rounding out the cast. Early reactions are calling it shockingly gruesome and say the film holds nothing back. It hits theaters October 23, making it a perfect Halloween week watch for anyone who wants their DC with a horror movie edge.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day Crosses $2.5 Billion as an Extended Cut Reportedly Takes Shape

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is now sitting at roughly 2.5 billion dollars worldwide, putting it behind only Avatar and Avengers: Endgame on the all time chart and making it Sony's biggest release ever. The movie hit digital on October 6 across Prime Video, iTunes, Vudu, and Google Play, with a physical 4K and Blu-ray release following in November. On top of that, word going around is that an extended cut is being put together, which has fans speculating about a possible theatrical re-release down the line. Between Sadie Sink's Jean Grey and the record setting numbers, this one is not slowing down anytime soon.

Star Wars: Ahsoka Season 2 Teaser Brings Back Thrawn, Ezra Bridger, and a Young Anakin Flashback

The Ahsoka Season 2 teaser dropped at D23 and it is loaded. There is a flashback to young Ahsoka training under Hayden Christensen's Anakin, adult Ahsoka warning that this season is massive, and Grand Admiral Thrawn looming as the central threat with Lars Mikkelsen back in the role. Ezra Bridger is confirmed to return too, reuniting with Hera Syndulla to fight the Imperial remnant for the New Republic. The key art adds Sabine Wren into the mix alongside Thrawn's portrait. Season 2 premieres on Disney Plus January 20, 2027, giving fans plenty of time to rewatch season one before Thrawn's war officially begins.
