Hot Toys is going big for Aliens' fortieth anniversary with a Ripley and Power Loader collectible set, and Hasbro just reopened pre-orders on the G.I. Joe Classified x Tomb Raider Lara Croft crossover after it sold out at San Diego Comic-Con. Here's everything else worth knowing from today's toy news cycle.
Aliens: Ellen Ripley and Power Loader Collectible Set
Hot Toys is marking Aliens' fortieth anniversary with a two part 1/6 scale set built around the USS Sulaco showdown, a battle worn Ellen Ripley and the Power Loader she climbs into to face the queen. Ripley gets a newly sculpted head with rolling eyes, a silicone upper body for that sweaty, adrenaline soaked look, and her full loadout from torn tee to grenade harness to Reebok Alien Stompers, right down to a swappable sock for the scene where her shoe gets torn off in the airlock. The Power Loader itself stands over 51cm tall with more than 18 points of articulation, a roll cage that actually opens, working joysticks, and USB powered LED lighting in the beacon and cockpit, and it's built specifically to seat the Ripley figure inside. Pair it with the separately sold Alien Queen and you've got the whole climax on a shelf.
G.I. Joe Classified Series x Tomb Raider Lara Croft
Hasbro's G.I. Joe Classified Series crossover with Tomb Raider is back up for pre-order after selling out fast at San Diego Comic-Con. The Lara Croft figure runs $44.99 and Hasbro is targeting a September 29th ship date. You can find it at Amazon, Entertainment Earth, BigBadToyStore, Zavvi, and GameStop this time, so there's no shortage of places to grab one.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ReAction+ Wave 2
Super7 opened pre-orders on Wave 2 of its Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ReAction+ line, rounding out the roster with Leonardo, Michelangelo, Bebop, and Rocksteady. Each figure runs $25 and leans into the vintage early G.I. Joe O-ring look the line has chased since Wave 1. Shipping windows vary by retailer, Entertainment Earth has these landing around March 2027 while BigBadToyStore is quoting November 2026, so it's worth checking both before you commit. Super7Store and Amazon are expected to carry the wave too.
TMNT x G.I. Joe Turtle-Fly Copter: Raph as Wild Bill
The Amazon exclusive Turtle-Fly Copter, the mashup vehicle pairing Playmates' Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with G.I. Joe and packing an exclusive Raph reimagined as Wild Bill, is back in stock for $64.99. It's a fun one for anyone who grew up on both toy lines, Wild Bill's helicopter recast as a turtle green gunship with Raph in the cockpit. If you missed that version, the standard release is still floating around at Entertainment Earth, BigBadToyStore, and Amazon.
Transformers: Power of the Primes Optimal Optimus (Reissue)
Hasbro is reissuing the Power of the Primes Throne of the Primes Optimal Optimus, originally a 2018 San Diego Comic-Con exclusive, and it's already in stock at BigBadToyStore and Amazon for $99.99. If you'd rather pre-order, Entertainment Earth, BigBadToyStore, and Amazon all have listings live, with Hobby Link Japan, Zavvi, and GameStop rounding out the options. For Combiner era Transformers collectors who missed the convention run the first time, this is about as good a second chance as you'll get.
Star Trek: The Original Series Nurse Christine Chapel
EXO-6 is bringing Nurse Christine Chapel into its 1/6 scale Star Trek: The Original Series line, honoring Majel Barrett's run as the Enterprise's head nurse. The figure stands about 11 inches tall on a female body built with seamless legs so the translucent stockings read correctly under the sickbay uniform, and she comes with a medical tricorder, communicator, hypospray, medical scanner, and a display base. It's a nice pickup for anyone building out the medical bay side of their Trek shelf instead of just phasers and captains. Right now BigBadToyStore is the only place taking pre-orders.
McFarlane Toys NHL Construct-A-Figure Series 2
McFarlane's second wave of NHL Construct-A-Figure mini figures is up for pre-order, adding more current stars to the Sports Picks lineup you build piece by piece. It's a good entry point if you collect by team or player rather than committing to a full size figure for every name. Entertainment Earth has the wave listed now.
The Vampire Diaries and Wicked Funko POP! Vinyl Figures
Funko's latest wave pairs POP! Vinyl figures from The Vampire Diaries with figures from Wicked, an odd but very Funko combination of a vampire soap and a Broadway witch musical landing in the same pre-order batch. Funko didn't break out specific character names or pricing in this alert, so keep an eye on the listing for the full lineup. Entertainment Earth has them up now for anyone who collects across both properties.
Naruto Shippuden Kakashi Hatake and Sakura Haruno: Champion Class
Blokees added Kakashi Hatake and Sakura Haruno to its Champion Class line of Naruto Shippuden model kits, and both are up for pre-order now. It's a nice pairing since Kakashi and Sakura rarely get equal billing in model kit form next to Naruto and Sasuke. Entertainment Earth has them listed.
Predator 2 BeastBOX IB-19: City Hunter Version
52Toys' BeastBOX line is doing its transforming toy thing again with the IB-19 Predator from Predator 2, done up in a City Hunter colorway. The Predator form stands just under 6 inches, but the whole thing folds down into a roughly 2 inch storage cube once you're done posing it, which is the entire appeal of the BeastBOX gimmick. It ships loaded, an alternate unmasked head, spear, staff, wrist blades, a bloody human skull on a spine, a throwing disc, and a bonus weapons rack on top of the storage cube and instructions. It's currently up for pre-order at BigBadToyStore.
DC Comics: The Joker 1/12 Preview (INART)
INART is teasing a 1/12 scale DC Comics Joker figure with the tagline "Miss me? It's good to be back," and pre-orders are set to open September 19th. No pricing or accessory details yet, just the preview images, so this is very much a first look situation. Worth watching if you collect Joker in smaller scale, since a lot of the recent high end Joker releases have skewed sixth scale instead.
The Lord of the Rings: Nazgul and Horse Preview
Notta Toys previewed a 1/12 scale Lord of the Rings set pairing a Nazgul with its horse, and right now that's all we've got, no pricing, no release window, and pre-orders are not yet available. It's just a first look, so treat any listing you find elsewhere as speculative until Notta Toys shares more. Still, a mounted Nazgul at this scale is a rare enough subject that it's worth bookmarking for whenever real details land.
Nendoroid Mario and Luigi: Second Reissue
Good Smile Company is bringing back its Super Mario Nendoroids, Mario as No. 473 and Luigi as No. 393, both second reissues, and both are up for pre-order for a March 2027 arrival. Mario comes with swappable smiling and serious faceplates, plus blocks, coins, a Super Mushroom, dash and brake effect parts, and Buzzy Beetle and Boo figures to build out a scene, with crossed arm parts so he can pose alongside Luigi. Luigi gets three expressions instead of two, standard, smiling, and surprised, along with dash and jump effects, a pipe accessory, and Goomba and Bullet Bill for company. Both stand under 4 inches and come with their own display stands.
G.I. Joe ReAction+ Cobra-La Royal Guard: BigBadToyStore Exclusive 3-Pack
Super7's ReAction+ Cobra-La Royal Guard three pack, a BigBadToyStore exclusive pulled straight from G.I. Joe: The Movie, is in stock now. These are 3.75 inch figures on the O-ring body with 12 points of articulation, packaged in an illustrated retro blister card that leans hard into that early '80s toy aisle look. The three pack includes a sword, spear, and blaster to split between the Royal Guard trio.
Revoltech Amazing Yamaguchi Tekkaman Blade: Tekkaman Evil
Kaiyodo's Amazing Yamaguchi Revoltech line is adding Tekkaman Evil from Tekkaman Blade, though it's a long wait, release isn't expected until July 2027. The blade effect parts shown in the last preview image are Kaiyodo Store exclusive add ons, so the standard release won't include everything pictured. Worth tracking if you're building out a Tekkaman shelf, just don't expect this one soon.
