Hasbro is going all in on San Diego Comic-Con this year, and Hot Toys just gave Heath Ledger's Joker a whole new Artisan treatment to go with it. Round that out with a fresh Poppy Playtime wave, a new Scooby-Doo pack, and a stacked Evangelion model kit drop, and there's plenty to dig into today.
Hasbro's San Diego Comic-Con 2026 Lineup
Hasbro is bringing serious hardware to Booth 3213 this year, and the lineup reads like a greatest hits reel. Transformers, G.I. Joe, Marvel Legends, Star Wars Black Series and Vintage Collection, My Little Pony, and Power Rangers are all getting floor time alongside partner brands. The showstopper is Ultimate Grogu, a 1:1 scale premium animatronic packed with more than 250 animations and screen accurate design details. Convention partners are stacking up too: Iron Studios is teasing its first ever Dungeons and Dragons collectible, a Beholder Demi Art Scale statue, and Sideshow is debuting a new Baldur's Gate 3 Astarion statue. Masters of the Universe Chronicles: Dream Date Skeletor
A packaged shot of the Masters of the Universe Chronicles Dream Date Skeletor figure is circulating, giving collectors a first real look at how Mattel is boxing this one. There's no official pricing, release date, or retailer listing yet, this is purely a packaging leak at this stage. We'll come back to it the moment Mattel makes a formal announcement. For now, file it under one to watch if you collect Chronicles exclusives.
Blokees Model Kits: Neon Genesis Evangelion Lineup
Blokees is going deep on Neon Genesis Evangelion with a fresh wave of model kits, and pre-orders are live now. The wave covers the Test Type 01 TV version in the AE04 Action Edition build, plus Fantastics Series plug suit kits for Rei Ayanami, Asuka Shikinami Langley, and Mari Makinami Illustrious. There are matching Entry Plug interior kits for Rei, Asuka, and Mari too, if you want the cockpit half of the display alongside the pilots. McFarlane Toys Poppy Playtime Critters Series 2
McFarlane is putting out a second wave of Poppy Playtime Critters, this time as blind box mini figures. Like the first series, these are random pulls, so you won't know which Critter you're getting until you open the box. Pre-orders are live now through BigBadToyStore and Entertainment Earth. If Series 1 is any indication, the fun here is the surprise factor and how good a full set looks lined up on a shelf.
Jada Toys Scooby-Doo Wave 2: Scooby, Sea Demon & Spooky Space Kook
Jada's second wave of Scooby-Doo figures is up for pre-order, and this one leans into the show's classic monster of the week energy. Scooby-Doo himself comes with his usual accessories and a range of display options, while Spooky Space Kook gets interchangeable heads and gear to nail his eerie look. Sea Demon rounds out the wave with swappable portraits and accessories pulled straight from his original episode. It's a nice pull for anyone building out a Mystery Inc rogues gallery. McFarlane Toys Helldiver in T4-40 Gold Eagle Armor
McFarlane is teasing a new Helldivers figure ahead of Walmart's Summer 2026 Collector Con, this time dressed in the T4-40 Gold Eagle Armor. It's a 7 inch deluxe scale figure, matching the sizing McFarlane has used across its other Helldivers releases. Walmart's Collector Con runs July 23rd through July 24th, and this looks to be one of the pieces getting spotlighted there. No pricing or pre-order info yet, McFarlane says more details are coming.
Hot Toys The Dark Knight: The Joker (2.0) Artisan Edition
Hot Toys is revisiting Heath Ledger's Joker with a new 1/4th scale Artisan Edition, and the headline feature is an entirely new head sculpt from artist Heise, hand painted with rooted hair and separate rolling eyeballs. The 46cm body wears a newly tailored coat with a magnetic lapel function and bendable wire through the collar and lapels, so you can actually pose the folds. The accessory count is enormous: a pistol, revolver, submachine gun, shotgun, knife, shoe knives, detonator, lead pipe, pencil, Joker cards, stacks of banknotes, and the magnetic grenade panel from the film's most infamous scene, all backed by ten interchangeable gloved hands. It ships on a Gotham street diorama base with destroyed Batpod pieces. This one is capped at 2,000 units worldwide.
Boss Fight Studio Red Sonja Epic H.A.C.K.S.
Boss Fight Studio's Immortal Red Sonja is up for pre-order in their Epic H.A.C.K.S. 1/12 scale line for $49.99, shipping in Q2 2027. The loadout is stacked: an alternate head, two pairs of hands, a long sword and arming sword with sheaths, a dagger with hip sheath, a serpent tiara, coiled rope, belt, bracelets, leg bangles, chain mail midriff, and her own figure base. BigBadToyStore has it with flat $6 US shipping, while Entertainment Earth is running free shipping over $79 plus a 10 percent code for in stock items. Long lead time aside, that's a lot of steel packed into a 1/12 scale figure.
